2 May 2024Mini Ha Ha Horse Haven is based in Fernside North Canterbury and is a safe place for miniature horses, ponies and donkeys that sadly are unwanted, abused or neglected. These animals finding refuge at ‘The Haven’, where they undergo healing and rehabilitation. Founders Jenny and Lindsay Heperi going to extraordinary lengths to not only rehabilitate and nurture, but to also rehome into a completely new environment.
Jenny and Lindsay also are very heavily involved in the community, especially the elderly and youth, indeed both home-schooled and mainstream children attend The Haven to learn about the care of equine, additionally they learn about welfare issues and the associated care plan required to care for those equines at risk.
And this is for our people too as certainly those that come here find The Haven a place of calm and peace which is great for community members who find the real world a challenge.
