Brainwave, an organisation helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds reach their full potential, has received funding from the Lindsay Foundation to develop a new website enabling it to reach more children and families in need.
Founded by former broadcaster Judy Bailey and the late Dr Robin Fancourt (CNZM and paediatrician), Brainwave’s vision is that all Kiwi children are valued and nurtured. It also highlights the critical importance of the “first thousand days” of a child’s life.
Both founders champion the well-being of abused, neglected and disadvantaged children with Brainwave a vehicle to be able to highlight the issues and help work towards solutions.
Brainwave CEO Huia Hanlon says the Brainwave Trust is so grateful to the Lindsay Foundation for their support of the website development project.
“To be able to reach New Zealanders in an effective way is something we have been working towards. Our new website will take our users on a journey through our knowledge bank and resources to help enrich their understanding of brain development in children and adolescents.”
