Riding for the Disabled (RDA) provides goal-based riding activities to increase the ability, independence and confidence of people with physical, intellectual, emotional and social challenges. The Lindsay Foundation started working with RDA in September 2017. With the Foundation’s support, RDA has been able to establish a database of donors, upgrade its IT platforms and employ new staff, to help extend its services to more of the disabled community as well as reduce waiting lists.
View MoreAssistance Dogs New Zealand Trust (ADNZT) provides purpose-trained Assistance Dogs to enrich the lives of New Zealanders living with a disability. Most of their clients are children and young adults under the age of 20, who are living with autism and multiple disabilities. Each of their dogs are tailor-trained to meet the individual needs of their clients and the wider whānau – making life easier and more accessible for them.

Susan Haldane and the team at Mind over Manner are truly inspirational, The Lindsay Foundation was so impressed with their pursuit to look after those disaffected youth, who felt uncomfortable in their own skin. Their desire to educate and assist families and communities through theatre inspired workshops was a journey that they felt compelled to join.

The Pet Refuge shelter is a purpose-designed building to provide temporary care and security for pets in family violence situations, with the end goal of reuniting each of them with their owners so they can start new lives together in violence-free homes.
Julie Chapman and her team have worked tirelessly in the pursuit of establishing New Zealand’s first shelter, purpose built to provide safe harbour for pets, eliminating a crucial barrier to escaping family violence. We are proud to play our part in the newly formed Pet Refuge NZ Charitable Trust.
Unique in Aotearoa New Zealand, START is a team of specialist Speech Language Therapists working with people of all ages who stutter. The team are small but yet very driven, they provide both individual therapy sessions as well as a range of groups and courses for people of all ages. Their vision is to ensure that everyone who stutters are fully supported to reach their full potential.

View MoreLindsay Foundation trustees Brendan and Jo Lindsay felt compelled to support Starship's Air Ambulance story after hearing the story of 5-year-old Harri Brown, who was flown from Christchurch to Starship when he was just a few hours old.
Harri was born with a critical heart condition known as aortic stenosis and before his parents could even hold him, he was rushed to Starship by the Starship National Air Ambulance to undergo emergency open-heart surgery.
Now, thanks to that life-saving flight and the work of Starship’s Congenital Cardiac Service, Harri’s heart functions almost completely normally.
