When serious illness or bereavement occurs within a family, everyone is affected. For children and young people, the impact of grief can be intense, emotionally traumatic and long lasting.

Charitable Trust 'Kenzie’s Gift' supports children and young people through grief and serious illness. A team of qualified child and adolescent psychotherapists and psychologists provide families with individual therapy packages to help children cope.

Founder and CEO Nic Russell lost her young daughter, Mackenzie to cancer in 2005 and established 'Kenzie’s Gift' to honour the memory of her child and support families experiencing similar journeys.

Nic says, "Kenzie’s Gift is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people affected by the trauma of grief and serious illness. The support from the Lindsay Foundation is an amazing gift, that will enable us to provide one on one therapy and grief packs for young kiwis and their families. We can’t thank the Lindsay Foundation enough for their generous support, we are eternally grateful to them.”
