25 Jul 2023Upside Youth Mentoring Aotearoa are on a mission, their quest is to support change in Aotearoa New Zealand's young people with adverse childhood experiences.
The primary goal of the team is assist with them feeling a little brighter and more loved than they did yesterday.
Upside have been matching young people with volunteer mentors since 2006 and with over 1,000 matches since then and 7,000 hours of mentoring a year, they’ve seen time and time again the life-changing effects of this connection.
Upside work with young people aged 9-13 years old who have been referred to them from schools, (via principals, counsellors, and Learning Support Coordinators) who believe a positive adult role model is what this young person needs to help navigate life together.
