Autism NZ has been part of the autism community for nearly 50-years. Autism NZ empowers people living with autism to make informed choices and take action.
The Lindsay Foundation is excited to assist with the development of the Autism Resource Centre (ARC); the Centre will transform the autism journey in Aotearoa New Zealand and has the potential to exponentially enhance the lives within our communities. The services the ARC provides will be housed in a custom-built space that is truly accessible to people with autism. The design considers any needs that a person with autism may have, from sensory-friendly light sources to appropriate sound filtration, alongside transition spaces to support people in entering and leaving the building.
Providing support to this project will ensure that children with autism in Aotearoa New Zealand will be diagnosed significantly earlier and families will be able to access immediate support and services.
